Terms of Use

You may use ShiftSplit only if you can legally agree to these terms. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use ShiftSplit only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Do not use ShiftSplit if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

ShiftSplit is a planning and tracking tool. You are responsible for your financial decisions, the values you enter, and how you use your plan.

• ShiftSplit does not move, hold, transfer, or invest money.
• ShiftSplit does not connect to or access bank accounts.
• ShiftSplit does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

Local mode remains available without an account. Local browser or device storage can be cleared by the user, operating system, or browser, so manual exports remain useful for recovery.

Cloud Save is optional account access for backup features. Manual Cloud Snapshot is an advanced recovery action. Restore remains explicit. ShiftSplit does not promise real-time sync, automatic restore, or conflict-free merging between devices.

ShiftSplit Plus is offered as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription. Pricing, billing duration, and renewal details are shown before purchase. Web subscriptions are processed through Stripe on the ShiftSplit website. iOS subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat and are subject to Apple's applicable terms.

Founder, friend-invite, and legacy Lifetime access may remain active without a recurring charge. Lifetime access is not a public purchase option.

Local mode remains available. Restore and manual export are not held hostage if paid access is unavailable. Refund eligibility is determined under applicable law and the rules of the payment platform used for your purchase.

Stripe purchase controls and external checkout links are not shown inside the iOS app. Existing web subscribers and lifetime-access users may sign in and use their existing Cloud Save access in iOS.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your account and for the accuracy of information you enter. You may delete your account from Profile. Cloud account data is deleted with the account. Local device data is kept unless you explicitly choose to erase it on that device. Export a manual backup first if you want a recovery copy.

Do not misuse ShiftSplit, attempt to access another person's data, interfere with the service, abuse invitation links, or use the product for unlawful activity.

ShiftSplit may change, pause, or discontinue features as the product evolves. We work to keep the service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that every device, browser, or third-party service will always work. Keep a manual export if you need an additional recovery copy.

To the extent permitted by law, ShiftSplit is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. ShiftSplit is not a substitute for professional financial, tax, legal, or investment advice.

To the extent permitted by law, ShiftSplit is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunities arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.

We may suspend or terminate access if you misuse the service, violate these terms, or create risk for other users or the service. You may stop using ShiftSplit at any time and may delete your account from Profile.

We may update these terms as ShiftSplit changes. Material updates will be posted here with a revised effective date and, when appropriate, communicated through the app or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
